2016 Cambodian Festival

Good morning friends!

Please save the date July 9th from 11-6pm and join us for the Cambodian Festival at Moussette Park in Gatineau!!! Lots of activities, sports, food and fun with your friends and family. Hope to see you all there!

New! Dance Classes starting on Sunday May 1, 2016

We are pleased to announce that we will be offering FREE dance classes on Sundays starting May 1st and every Sunday onward (with the exception of Mother’s Day May 8th NO CLASS). We are kicking off with a women’s Zumba class. Ladies please join us and bring your friends for an hour of fun and fitness!! Refreshments will be provided.

Interested in having your immigration story filmed and documented?

Hello everyone!

CAOV is participating in a very exciting upcoming project. We are looking for one individual who is available sometime between December 1-5 to share their immigration experience. This story will be filmed and documented and used in an exhibit in The Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21. Tabitha Fun Walk & Run for Nokor Tep Women’s Hospital

The Tabitha Foundation in Cambodia is hosting a Fun Walk & Run in Ottawa on September 27th at the Pinhey Forest Trails (behind the Nepean Sportsplex).

Funds raised will go towards the completion of the first women’s hospital in Cambodia – the Nokor Tep Hospital (date of completion: January 2016). Join the cause – sign up and fundraise in the support of women’s health.

Cambodian Family Picnic 2015

Dear Community Members,
On behalf of the Cambodian Association of Ottawa-Valley, I would like to invite you to join us for our Annual Community Picnic on Saturday August 15, 2015 from 11:00am to 5:00pm at Andrew Hayden Park.
There will be music, food, and games! If you want to share your voice with some karaoke singing, please bring karaoke DVDs.
The CAOV team is always looking for new members and volunteers. If you are looking for some volunteer hours, please contact us for more information. The picnic is your chance to get involved with our community!

Cambodian New Year 2015

Dear Community,

With spring right around the corner, it could only mean one thing for our community. It’s time to celebrate Cambodian New Year. This year it will be held on April 11th 2015 at St. Anthony Hall from 7:00pm –1:00am.

I would like to take this opportunity to invite you all to join us in our yearly celebration. This is the time we all gather to sing, to dance and to share our culture, our values and beliefs. Put on your dancing shoes and join us for a night to remember.

Khmer New Year 2015

Special Meeting 2014

Dear Cambodian community,

The Cambodian Association of Ottawa-Valley (CAOV) would like to invite you to the Special Meeting held on November 29th, 2014 from 9:00am to 11:00am. We would like to take this opportunity to approve a draft of the attached By-Law revised accordingly to the regulations of the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act ( In order for the By-Law to be adopted, it requires a majority vote of two-thirds (2/3) by the present members.

Since we are limited to a two-hour time span, we would like you to please read through the By-Law and e-mail any concerns in order for the CAOV to appropriately allocate time to respond to these concerns during the Special Meeting.

Attached, please find the current By-Law, the proposed By-Law presented by the Board of Directors, and a list of revisions made from the current By-Law to the proposed By-Law (including consensus and rationale of the BOD for approving such changes).
