You are invited to join us for a 5km Walk/Run in support of
Nokor Tep Women’s Hospital in Cambodia
Stand with the women of Cambodia for Just One Day and help to raise the funds to finish building the first women’s hospital in Cambodia.
The World Health Organization has identified that Cambodia has poor quality of healthcare, particularly in rural and remote facilities. Canadian Janne Ritskes, founder of Tabitha Foundation is one of the founders of the 220 bed Nokor Tep Women’s Hospital. The Nokor Tep vision is to achieve access to medical care for all Cambodian women – regardless of status or wealth. No one will be turned away.
The 3rd and final floor was poured in May and the roof is now 70% completed. Bricking and the interior finishing is in progress. This hospital is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2016 or early 2017, with a plan for opening in 2017.
This year, the Tabitha Run/Walk is aimed at a very specific acquisition for Nokor Tep Women’s Hospital in Cambodia. The goal is to raise the funds needed to purchase an 800 KVA electrical transformer that will run all of the hospital’s equipment including the operating theaters and radiation therapy equipment.
In order to purchase the transformer we have set aggressive fundraising goals totaling $75,000 combined between the London and Ottawa events.
Show what a difference we can make for this project in Just One Day!
